We receive many requests for early check-in. While our staff will do their best to accommodate whenever possible, an earlier check-in cannot be guaranteed. There is no need to send a special request as earlier check-in is subject to availability at the time of arrival on a first-come, first-serve basis. Early check-in fees apply ($20 an hour).

Due to liability and safety concerns, the hotel will not hold guests' luggage. The City of Miami Beach has the following helpful link.

Parking in South Beach can be difficult. Valet parking service is available via a third party for $40 per day plus taxes. There is a public parking garage located nearby at 640 17th St, Miami Beach. For the public parking garage fees and information please visit this link provided by the City of Miami Beach. In general, because the area is so popular, parking in Miami Beach is a challenge. We advise our guests to avoid renting a car. Most places are within walking distance and Uber or Lyft are a popular choice for longer trips.

We do not offer transportation but our guests often use Uber or Lyft ride sharing apps. Taxi is available at the airport as well.

You have to be at least 21 years old and have a valid major credit card for the $100 hold and a matching government-issued photo ID to present upon arrival.

We love pets, service dogs, and emotional support animals! Guests traveling with a pet will require an additional $250 pet fee which we place on the card upon check-in.  Pet must be accompanied and leashed at all times. The weight limit is 40 lbs. Service animals are exempt from pet deposits. Guest must provide valid documentation at the time of check-in. Dogs cannot be left unattended in the room. Upon arrival, the guest will be required to sign a waiver legally obligating him or her to cover any damages to hotel property including damages to the room, bedding, furniture, etc.

Yes — we accept packages up to 7 days prior to arrival. Packages must be addressed to the guest name on the reservation. Fees apply as follows:

  • Under 1 lb – Free

  • 1–5 lbs – $5

  • 5–15 lbs – $10

  • 15–25 lbs – $20

  • Over 25 lbs – $35

  • Oversized/Heavy – $150

Please note that long-term storage is not available, so we recommend scheduling deliveries to arrive during your stay.

Catalina Hotel is located on Collins Avenue, across the street from a public beach. We provide complimentary beach towels for our guests to use throughout their stay. Beach umbrellas and lounges can be rented directly on the beach.

We require a valid credit or debit card (Visa, Amex, Discover, or MasterCard) at check-in to cover incidental charges. The hotel will authorize $100.00 on the card to ensure it’s active; this amount will be released after a room inspection at checkout. Cash, Prepaid cards, CashApp cards, Chime, and similar mobile payments aren’t accepted. The cardholder must be present at check-in with their ID and the credit card used for booking.

Changes depend on the offer or package you originally booked. Some rates are flexible, while others (like prepaid or promotional deals) are non-changeable.

Your cancellation policy is listed on the email confirmation you received. Reservations made on our website or through our call center are subject to 72 hours cancellation policy. It's a penalty-free cancellation by 2 PM EST 72 hours prior to arrival (unless if you specifically booked a non-refundable rate). To cancel, please click on the "Book Now" button, then scroll to the bottom of the page. In the footer, you will see a link " Modify/Cancel Reservation".
Reservations made on third-party websites are often non-refundable or restricted. The cancellation policy for third-party bookings should be listed on the email confirmation you received from them. We recommend contacting the site where the reservation was made to clarify the cancellation terms. The hotel cannot help with cancellations of bookings made elsewhere.

Yes — resort fees are common in Miami Beach. Catalina charges a mandatory $30 + tax nightly resort fee that covers added perks like free Wi-Fi, beach towels, pool access, and our daily happy hour (listed under Amenities on our site).

If you booked through a third-party site, always read the fine print — some platforms bundle or display resort fees differently, which can lead to “surprise” charges at check-in.

Our check-out time is 11 AM sharp. This allows our staff time to clean and disinfect the accommodation for the next guest. We sometimes have a later check-out available for $20 an hour after 11 AM and until 3 PM. After 3 PM it will be a full night charge. However, this option may or may not be available. The only way to guarantee a later check-out is to book the accommodation for an extra night ahead of time.

We are a 100% non-smoking property. The penalty for smoking on-site is $250 and will be charged to the card on file.

It depends on your package. Standard stays don’t include meals, but you’re in luck — Catalina Hotel has two great spots right on property. Maxine’s Bistro & Bar serves a full breakfast menu daily, and Taco Taco keeps the good vibes (and margaritas) flowing later in the day.

We offer housekeeping service every 3rd day of your stay. In addition, we will remove trash and replace towels daily. Anytime during your stay, you may stop by the front desk to request additional items such as towels or amenities.
